From April to June 2023, L’Institut Agro organised its first BIP on the theme of “Food digestion in vitro methodologies and future challenges”.

Organised in 2 parts, this themed hybrid training course offered the 25 participants, from 12 universities, the opportunity to attend entirely digital weekly sessions of the course from April to May. This first session was followed by a face-to-face meeting that took place in Rennes (Brittany, France) from the 16th to the 23rd of June, 2023.

This seminar on in vitro Digestion has been specially designed for Masters and PhD students wishing to deepen their knowledge in this field of science. The course was led by internationally renowned experts in the field of nutrition and digestive physiology. Researchers and professionals were drawn from several partner institutions including Wageningen University (The Netherlands), Leuven University (Belgium) and Gdansk University of Technology (Poland). It also involved the INFOGEST network and the University of Copenhagen (Denmark).

Alongside informative presentations and experimental sessions, the seminar also featured interactive discussions and question-and-answer sessions to encourage the exchange of ideas and knowledge between participants and the experts.
