Contribution to SDGs: Institut Agro, 9th in the world, 1st in Europe
The THE world ranking confirms Institut Agro's impact and commitment
Times Higher Education published on June 24, 2026 its Sustainability Impact Ratings, a global ranking that evaluates universities' contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Among more than 1,600 institutions assessed, Institut Agro climbs to 9th place worldwide in the 2026 Sustainability Impact Ratings.
The only European school in the global Top 10, Institut Agro stands out as the French and European institution that contributes most to the sustainable development goals and best supports ecological transitions and sustainable development.
This result externally and independently confirms what Institut Agro has been building every day with its communities since its creation in 2020. Having entered this ranking in 2024 as already the top French institution for its contribution to the SDGs, Institut Agro takes a further step in 2026 by breaking into the global Top 10.

A structural commitment and missions directly tied to transitions
These results reflect the coherence of an institution whose founding missions — training agronomic engineers, producing knowledge about living systems, supporting public policy, cooperating internationally — are directly aligned with the United Nations' 2030 Agenda.
Agronomy, food sciences, ecology, natural resource management: the disciplines taught at Institut Agro structurally place it at the heart of environmental and social transitions.
Its 2023–2030 strategic plan fully embraces this responsibility, embodied in a DD&RSE master plan and the award of the DD&RS label in 2025.
"Our 1st place in France and Europe, and 9th place globally, reflects the commitment of the entire Institut Agro community: our teachers and scientists who produce knowledge and train committed professionals, our staff who run eco-responsible campuses, our students who carry innovative and civic projects, our alumni and partners (public, private, associative, international) who transform agricultural and food production systems, supply chains and territories. This recognition, of which we are very proud, encourages us to go even further in our contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals and our impact."
Anne-Lucie Wack, Director General of Institut Agro
